Research

1.  Chiral synthesis of biologically active natural products.
2.  Synthesis of heterocyclic compounds expecting to possess biological activities.
3.  Investigation of new pharmaceutical and agricultural medicines.


Profile of the Laboratory

A large number of the medicines used today are natural products or are derived from natural products. But it is not so easy to get such active natural products from nature. Therefore, we are investigating to synthesize them chemically. We are also investigating synthesis of functional compounds such as discriminate the special metal ions.
